Mr. Gardner. who ar rived In the city late today, spent the night at the mansion Instead of going to a hotel as had previously been planned. Arrangements have been made to care (or thousands of visit ors. High spots on the day's program i re the Inaugural ceremony and ad areas at noon In the city auditorium, the parade to Immediately follow, the 'nangural reception at the mansion, beginning at I o’clock and the visit or's ball, suiting at 10 p. m.. In the city auditorium. The caplul city has provided an adequate setting for the occasion by decorating the streets, especially Fay etteville. over which the parade will pass and over which the official par ty will he escorted to the auditorium. A reviewing stand from which the Incoming and retiring governor and their staff will reylew tbo parade ha* been erected at th* corner of Fayettc ■tll* and Market streets. The visitors ball to be given by the Sphinx etwb "of Raleigh, will he by invitation only.
